WHY DONATE TO FILMMAKERS' CO-OP?

We can use your help.

Things are changing so fast in film and media. Equipment that was once used is now outdated or has just broken. We need your support to buy new equipment so that we can continue to make films to prepare us for our future careers. My fellow students and I are working hard to raise $15,000 for new equipment by the end of the school year so our fellow filmmakers can make film for many years to come. We’re doing everything from bake sales to attending TV tapings as a group (yes, you can make money from that!), and we are asking you to help us.

What we’re looking to buy are some of the newest digital items, so we can keep up with what the industry is using. Other items, basics like sandbags and cable stands, are needed because the department is growing so rapidly that we need more things so more teams can be working on new projects. Students are hungry to get their hands on production and our club is growing rapidly.

How can you help? You can give a specific amount to buy one item, or make a contribution toward buying bigger things. If you contribute, 100% of your donation will go directly to buying equipment for the co-op. If you like, and want to see how we’re progressing, I have a blog that I update regularly with photos and videos at ucsbfilmmakers.blogspot.com.
